fade deep into the blue hues of such water.
The simple love that we knew is gone,
full now of those endless, ebony lies.
The promise was never truly fulfilled,
the moment we crossed that border,
we lost what held ourselves as one.

Tears NonetTears are streaming down my upward turned face,
as my heart once again starts to race.
This is what it's all about now,
the power of past's gone somehow.
Crying is renewal.
It's gone, the cruel.
We are now free.
To just be.
To cry
tears.

Wash Me Away Is this rain, that beats down on me?
Is it that I see, that really hurts me?
Hiding my tears, but they don't go away
I can still feel the pain inside of me

Through this storm, I can see them clear
drenched in rain, clothed with fear

they said: use the laces to hang yourself.
i hate buying shoes
because, my tattered old loafers
may be falling apart
but they're only crumbling
under the weight
of all the memories we shared
while i was in them

i'll admit, they're heavy,
but it feels like losing something
when i drop the soles into
some abyss, or adventure,
and i'm not ready to
give us up
just yet.

So many mistakes

One LoveHe gazes upon the scenery through
his bedroom window
Of the bright flashes of electricity
and sound of a gigantic bass drum
Of the tear drops from the sky
An overwhelming sense of melancholy
blanketed his room
it was dark, full of sorrow
and grief
A tear shed from his wise, dull eyes
it traveled a path down his cheek,
hinting at the laugh lines and the corner of his mouth
it hung off his chin and fell
It fell and fell until it finally landed
on a titanium band that wrapped around
the third finger from the thumb
on his left hand

A small moan of utter sadness
escapes his thin lips
as his eyes follow the black hearse
that was driving away
His hand grips the handle of a handgun
so hard his knuckles turn white
it raises and he can feel the barrel lightly set itself on his lips
as a butterfly would
the barrel rests on his tongue now

Can't change meHate me,
Call me names,
humiliate me,
You can't change who I am.

Beat me,
Hit me,
Rub salt in my wounds,
You can't change who I am.

Spread rumors,
Tell lies,
Turn your back on me,
You can't change who I am.

Arrest me,
Silence me,
Threaten me,
You can't change who I am.

Do everything you can,
To try and change me,
But the fact still remains,
You will never change who I am.

MaybeMaybe you'll remember,
Or maybe you'll forget.
Maybe you'll look back,
Or deny we ever met.

Maybe you will linger,
Maybe you will stay.
Maybe I am just a fool,
And you'll always walk away.

Maybe I imagined it,
And nothing's ever wrong.
Or maybe you have broken me,
Because I was never strong.

Maybe I'm just crazy,
Since I couldn't tell you no,
And feared how you'd respond,
If things weren't 'just so.'

Maybe you got better,
And you miss me more each day.
Maybe you still hate me,
With more words than you can say.

Maybe this is perfect,
And all of it's your loss.
Maybe I can't handle
How much this battle cost.

His hands are the right size,
and his smile is perfectly lopsided.
His eyes are dark,
but in the sun they're brighter than you can imagine.
They draw you in.
He's addictive.
His abs are defined the right amount.
His arms are long enough to wrap around you,
and hold you.

He is art.

He can make you laugh when you do not want to,
but make you want to so badly.
You come to him when there is no one around,
even when there is.
He lets you borrow his strength and if that's not enough,
he lends more help.
He gives me everything.

He is art.

Free FallFree Fall

Thoughts swirling in my head
Pushing me to the edge
So far to the edge
I feel like jumping, jumping into the abyss
Swimming, flying, not dying but a deep sleep
Maybe eventually I would wake
But, I just want to jump
A free fall into an
Abyss

Abyss

Sinking
Down
Further
Until I fall

I want to feel the rush of falling
The wind in my hair
The problem is…

I would die if I jump… and I'm not ready for that.

Your Battered RagdollPain is a funny thing,
The thought making you cringe;
I always wished if I felt pain,
It would be your tinge.

My reflection glared back at me,
An old gash across my cheek;
It still quivers under my touch,
Where your ring claimed the bloody streak.

My gaze fell to my hands,
My palm reveals a stab incision;
Haunted by the gleam in your eyes,
You and your knife had such great vision.

I wince as I extend my neck,
My collarbone reveals your canine prints;
The scent etched in my brain,
Of our shared breath mints.

You struck a match,
I reveled in the singe;
Disgusted. Rage. You abandoned me,
The door flew off its hinge.

I miss yo

Denial.I know I'm in denial,
Saying I don't love her.
But I still say it all the while,
Because I have been hurt.

I know I should stop this,
I know I should just face it.
But I can't face up to this,
I can only run away from it.

I know that I still love her,
I would take her back in a heartbeat,
But as I can't have her,
I lie to myself, looking down at my feet.

I know that I still love her,
But Denial is my only friend.

SurvivorsHe loses his wife.
People say 'I'm sorry'
But they don't know the emotions he feels.
He's left with a son and pathetic hole of despair.

She is raped.
People say 'I won't hurt you like he did.'
But they don't know how dirty and disgusting she feels, how fragile she truly is.
She's left to suffer with tears and pain.

He is homeless.
People say 'look at that man; he probably walked out from his home when he was sixteen because of drugs.'
But they don't know that his father abused him and he felt like that if he didn't run away, he'd be left to die there.
He's left alone and empty.

She's is bullied.
People say 'it gets better.'
But

You Almost DiedYou almost died tonight,
I'm not sure how to feel inside
I love you
Is all you could say to me,
But love was the furthest thing
From my memory.
I watched as you chugged water
As if it would save your life
And I listened as you cursed out your aunt
When you asked her to come heal your strife.
Fear entangled me,
And still does today
I feel like I lost a part of me
& wonder if we'll ever be ok.

It seems to be my biggest fear.
